wb28x29255
GE Range LP Gas High Altitude Conversion (WB28X29255)

The GE Range LP Gas High Altitude Conversion kit adapts your GE dual-fuel range for use with liquid propane fuel at high altitude elevations where standard gas pressure and orifice sizes are no longer suitable. It includes replacement orifices and components that regulate the proper gas-to-air mixture so your burners fire correctly and efficiently in lower atmospheric pressure conditions. This conversion ensures your range performs safely and reliably after switching from natural gas to LP or when relocating the appliance to a higher elevation.

The GE Range LP Gas High Altitude Conversion becomes necessary when burners are installed with the wrong orifice size for the fuel type or altitude, or when a range is moved from a low-elevation home to one above the recommended threshold for standard orifices. Without the correct conversion, burners may produce an improper flame that wastes fuel, creates safety risks, or causes the appliance to underperform.

These symptoms may indicate your range needs this LP high altitude conversion:

- Burners produce a weak, low, or uneven flame

- Flames appear yellow or orange instead of a clean blue

- Burners are difficult to ignite or will not stay lit

- Excessive sooting or black residue around burner ports

- Uneven heating across the cooktop surface

- Strong gas odor during or after ignition

- Range was recently converted to LP or moved to a high elevation location

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0569/6189/2437/files/ge-range-lp-gas-high-altitude-conversion-wb28x29255.jpg?v=1792209261
