The Whirlpool Refrigerator End Cap is a finish and support piece that covers the end of a refrigerator component, such as a shelf trim, door bin trim, or handle end, depending on the model design. It helps hold the adjoining part in place, protects exposed edges, and provides a clean surface where the component meets the liner or trim.

End caps can fail from repeated impacts, overloading of the attached shelf or bin, or stress from opening and closing the door. Plastic may crack from age, temperature changes, or chemical damage from harsh cleaners. Tabs and clips can also wear down, which can let the supported part shift out of position.

Common symptoms that point to a failed end cap include:

  • A shelf, door bin, or trim piece sits crooked, shifts, or will not stay seated
  • Visible cracks, broken corners, or missing plastic at the end of a trim piece
  • Loose or missing retaining tabs or clips where the end cap locks in
  • Rattling or vibration noise from a shelf or bin that no longer feels secure
  • Sharp or exposed edges where an end piece used to cover the corner

  • A 15% restocking fee applies to eligible returns.
