Whirlpool Water Valve (WPW10179146)

The Whirlpool Water Valve controls the flow of water into your appliance. It opens and closes in response to signals from the control system to fill at the right time and to the right level. It helps prevent overfilling and makes sure the unit gets the water it needs for normal operation.

Failure can happen when mineral scale builds up and restricts flow, when internal seals wear and start to leak, or when the solenoid coil burns out and stops opening the valve. Debris in the supply line can also clog the valve screen and reduce water volume.
