The Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker is the complete assembly that produces ice inside your refrigerator's freezer compartment, cycling through fill, freeze, and harvest stages to drop ice into the storage bin. It uses a built-in thermostat and motor to sense when ice is ready, rotate the ejector arms, and release cubes automatically.
The Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker can fail from a worn-out motor, a faulty thermostat, cracked housing, or mineral buildup from hard water that jams the ejector mechanism over time. Prolonged exposure to freezer temperatures and repeated freeze-thaw cycles can also cause internal components to crack or seize, stopping ice production entirely.

- Refrigerator produces no ice at all despite water supply being connected

- A 15% restocking fee applies to eligible returns.
