The Whirlpool Dishwasher Panel Clip secures the dishwasher’s front or inner door panel in place. It helps keep the panel aligned with the door frame so the door closes evenly and the control area and trim sit flush.
This clip can fail from repeated door opening and closing, vibration during wash cycles, or stress from an impact to the panel. Plastic clips may crack, warp, or lose tension over time. When the clip no longer holds, the panel can shift and strain nearby mounting points.
Use these symptoms to decide if this panel clip is the source of the problem:
- Front door panel looks loose, tilted, or not flush
- Rattling or buzzing noise from the door area during operation
- Door panel shifts when you pull the handle or press buttons
- Gaps along the edge of the panel or trim that were not there before
