The Whirlpool Dryer Drum Roller supports the rear of the dryer drum and allows it to spin smoothly during operation. It is a small wheel mounted on a shaft that the drum rests on and rolls against as the motor turns the drum, reducing friction and keeping the drum aligned throughout the drying cycle.

The Whirlpool Dryer Drum Roller can wear out over time from continuous heat exposure, loss of lubrication, or simply the normal friction of supporting a heavy drum load through thousands of cycles.
