The Electrolux Radius Cube Ice Maker is the unit inside your top-mount refrigerator responsible for producing and releasing rounded cube-shaped ice into the storage bin. It works by filling a mold with water, freezing it to a set temperature, and then using a heating element and ejector arm to release the finished cubes automatically.
The Electrolux Radius Cube Ice Maker can fail from mineral buildup in the water lines or mold, a worn-out ejector motor, a faulty thermostat, or a damaged water inlet valve connection. Normal wear over time, freezing issues from inconsistent temperatures, or water quality problems can all contribute to reduced ice production or a complete stop in operation.
Look for these symptoms to help determine if your ice maker needs to be replaced:
- Ice maker produces no ice despite water supply being connected and turned on
- Ice cubes are undersized, misshapen, or come out in clumps
- Ice maker makes a clicking or grinding noise during a cycle but no ice is produced
- Ice bin overfills because the shutoff arm or sensor is no longer working correctly
- Water leaks from the ice maker area into the freezer or refrigerator
- Ice has an unusual taste or odor linked to a buildup inside the mold

- A 15% restocking fee applies to eligible returns.
