The Electrolux Refrigerator Ice Maker is a self-contained assembly that produces and harvests ice cubes inside the fresh food or freezer section of your bottom-mount refrigerator. It works by filling a mold with water, freezing it, and then cycling a heating element and ejector arm to release finished cubes into the ice bin below.
The Electrolux Refrigerator Ice Maker can fail due to a burned-out heating element, worn ejector motor, faulty thermostat, or a cracked mold that prevents proper freezing and release. Water inlet issues, prolonged exposure to frost buildup, or simply years of regular use can also cause the assembly to stop cycling correctly.
Look for these symptoms to help determine if the ice maker assembly needs to be replaced:
- Ice maker produces no ice despite water supply being connected and turned on
- Ice cubes come out small, hollow, or misshapen
- Ice maker runs continuously without stopping or ejecting ice
- Loud grinding or clicking sounds during the harvest cycle
- Ice clumps together in the bin due to incomplete ejection
- Water leaks into the fresh food compartment from the ice maker area
- Ice maker arm does not move or appears jammed in one position

- A 15% restocking fee applies to eligible returns.

- Items returned without approval won’t be accepted.
