The Whirlpool Oven Bake Element is the lower heating element in your electric oven or oven-microwave combo unit that provides the heat needed for baking and general cooking. It works by converting electrical current into radiant heat, warming the oven cavity from the bottom up to reach and maintain the set temperature.

The Whirlpool Oven Bake Element can fail over time due to normal wear, heat stress from repeated cycling, or physical damage such as cracks or burns in the element coil. Exposure to food spills or grease can also cause hot spots that weaken the element and eventually lead to a complete break in the heating circuit.

Look for these symptoms to help determine if the bake element needs to be replaced:
