The LG DC Motor Assembly is the drive motor that turns the basket or drum in an LG washer during wash, rinse, and spin. It works with the control system to change speed and direction so the appliance can agitate and spin as programmed.
Common failures come from normal wear, moisture intrusion, overheating, bearing wear, or electrical damage in the motor windings or internal sensor components. A seized rotor, worn bearings, loose wiring, or a failed motor feedback signal can also cause the motor to stop turning or run erratically.
