The Whirlpool Fridge Fan moves air across the evaporator and circulates cold air through the refrigerator and freezer compartments. It helps keep temperatures even, supports proper cooling recovery after door openings, and reduces warm spots by keeping air flowing through vents and channels.
Common failures include a worn motor that slows or stops, ice buildup that blocks the fan blade, or damage to the blade that causes imbalance. Loose connectors, moisture intrusion, or debris can also prevent the fan from running at the correct speed.

- Refrigerator or freezer is warm even though the compressor runs
