Whirlpool Washer Agitator (W10752283)

The Whirlpool Washer Agitator moves the wash load back and forth during the wash cycle to circulate water and detergent through the fabric. It mounts to the drive system in the center of the wash basket and helps create the motion that loosens and lifts soil from clothing.

Common failures come from worn internal splines, stripped drive surfaces, or a cracked agitator body. Heavy or unbalanced loads can speed up wear. Detergent buildup and repeated stress can also cause looseness, slipping, or broken plastic around the mounting area.

These symptoms can help you decide if this part is the cause of the problem:

- The washer fills and drains, but the load does not move during the wash portion of the cycle

- Clothes come out poorly cleaned because the tub spins but agitation is weak or missing

- The agitator turns freely by hand, feels loose, or lifts off the shaft more than normal

- Grinding, ratcheting, or thumping sounds from the center of the tub during agitation

- The lower section moves while the upper section does not, or the motion is uneven and slips under load
