Whirlpool Washer Agitator Base (W11418231)

The Whirlpool Washer Agitator Base is the lower section of the agitator assembly that anchors the agitator to the wash tub and drive shaft, keeping it securely in place during the wash cycle. It works together with the upper agitator to create the back-and-forth motion that moves clothes through the water and detergent for a thorough clean.

The Whirlpool Washer Agitator Base can wear down over time due to repeated stress from heavy loads, out-of-balance cycles, or normal use that gradually weakens the plastic or the connection points. A cracked, stripped, or broken base can cause the agitator to wobble, slip, or stop moving altogether, leaving clothes poorly washed or tangled.
