Whirlpool Washer Water Valve (W11645245)

The Whirlpool Washer Water Valve controls the flow of hot and cold water into the washer. It opens when the control sends power and closes when filling is done. It also helps keep water from entering the tub when the washer is off.

Failure can happen from mineral buildup that restricts flow, debris that blocks the inlet screens, or a worn internal seal that will not shut tight. The electrical coil inside the valve can also fail, which can stop the valve from opening or cause it to open only part way.
