Whirlpool LED Module Service Kit provides interior lighting in compatible Whirlpool appliances. It mounts behind a lens or trim and uses an LED board to produce a steady, low-heat light so you can see shelves and stored items when the door is open.
Important Compatibility Note: Part number W11683242 is the current manufacturer-approved replacement for the following discontinued part number(s): W11462342. If your appliance documentation or old part uses any of these numbers, this is the correct, updated component for your repair.
Common causes of failure include normal LED wear over time, power surges, moisture intrusion, loose or corroded connectors, or damage to the module housing during cleaning or service. A failed module may still receive power but not illuminate, or it may flicker because the LED driver circuitry is breaking down.
