The GE Burner Tri-Chrome Knob is the control knob used on your gas range or dual fuel range to regulate the flow of gas to each burner, allowing you to adjust the flame from low simmer to high heat. It fits over the valve stem on the control panel and turns to open or close the gas valve, giving you direct control over burner output during cooking.

The GE Burner Tri-Chrome Knob can wear out over time from repeated turning, exposure to heat, grease buildup, or physical damage from drops or impacts. The inner D-shaped or star-shaped socket that grips the valve stem can crack or strip, and the outer surface can crack, discolor, or become difficult to grip safely.
