GE Gas Range Igniter (WB13K10024)

The GE Gas Range Igniter is the component that lights the oven burner each time you start a bake or broil cycle. It works by drawing electrical current until it glows hot enough to open the gas valve and ignite the burner, allowing the oven to reach and hold your set temperature.

A GE gas range igniter can weaken or fail over time as the igniter element degrades from repeated heating and cooling cycles. When the igniter draws too little current to fully open the gas valve, the oven may take much longer to light, fail to ignite at all, or cycle on and off unpredictably during cooking.
