GE Range Terminal Block (WB17X210)

The GE Range Terminal Block connects the range's power cord to the internal wiring of the appliance, allowing electricity to flow from the wall outlet to the heating elements and controls. It serves as the main electrical connection point where the three or four prong power cord attaches, distributing voltage throughout the electric range safely and reliably.

A GE range terminal block can fail due to loose connections, arcing, heat damage, or corrosion that builds up over time at the contact points. When the block is damaged, it can no longer maintain a secure electrical connection, which can interrupt power to the range or create a safety hazard at the wiring junction.

Watch for these symptoms to help determine if the terminal block needs to be replaced:

- Range has no power at all and will not turn on

- Burn marks, scorch damage, or melted plastic visible near the power cord connection

- Burning smell or smoke coming from the back of the range

- Burners or oven elements heat weakly or inconsistently

- Power cord feels unusually hot near the connection point

- Tripped breaker or blown fuse related to the range circuit

- Visible arcing or sparking at the rear of the appliance
