The GE Microwave Turntable Motor powers the rotating tray inside your microwave or Advantium oven, spinning the glass turntable plate so food heats evenly from all sides. It connects to the turntable support and ring guide beneath the tray, running continuously during cooking cycles to keep food moving through the microwave's energy field.

The GE Microwave Turntable Motor can wear out over time from repeated use, internal gear degradation, or moisture and food debris working their way into the motor housing. A failed motor may stop rotating entirely, turn inconsistently, or produce unusual sounds that indicate the internal components are no longer functioning as designed.

Watch for these symptoms to help determine if the turntable motor needs to be replaced:
