The GE Microwave High Voltage Transformer converts standard household electricity into the extremely high voltage needed to power the magnetron, which is the component that generates the microwaves that heat your food. It works by stepping up the incoming voltage to thousands of volts, supplying the magnetron with the energy it needs to operate during every cooking cycle.
