GE Microwave Thermostat (WB27X11213)

The GE Microwave Thermostat monitors and regulates the internal temperature inside the microwave or Advantium oven to prevent overheating during operation. It acts as a safety device, cutting power to the heating circuit when temperatures exceed a safe threshold and restoring it once the appliance cools down.

The GE Microwave Thermostat can fail after repeated heat cycles cause the internal contacts to wear out, corrode, or stick in an open or closed position. Physical damage, power surges, or a blocked ventilation path that causes the unit to run hotter than normal can also shorten the thermostat's lifespan and lead to incorrect temperature regulation.
