The GE Range Control Board manages the electronic functions of your electric range, including oven temperature settings, burner controls, and cooking modes. It receives input from the control panel and sends signals to components like the heating elements and sensors to regulate cooking performance throughout each cycle.

The GE Range Control Board can fail due to power surges, overheating, grease or moisture exposure, or general wear on internal electronic components over time. A damaged or faulty board may cause the range to behave erratically, lose its ability to hold settings, or stop responding to input altogether.

These symptoms may indicate the control board needs to be replaced:

- Oven does not heat or reaches the wrong temperature

- Burner controls are unresponsive or behave erratically

- Error codes appear on the display that do not clear

- Display is blank, flickering, or showing incorrect information

- Range turns on or off by itself without any input
