GE 6" Electric Burner (WB30K10002)

The GE 6" Electric Burner is a surface unit assembly that provides the heat source for cooking on your GE electric range. It connects to the burner receptacle on the cooktop and converts electrical energy into heat through a resistive coil element, allowing you to boil, simmer, and cook at a range of temperatures.

A GE 6" Electric Burner can fail from repeated heating and cooling cycles that cause the coil to crack or break internally, exposure to spills that corrode the element, or loose connections at the receptacle over time. Physical damage from heavy cookware or impact can also cause the burner to stop working properly or heat unevenly.

If you notice any of the following symptoms on your electric range, this burner may need to be replaced:

- Burner does not heat up at all when turned on

- Burner heats unevenly or only partially glows red

- Visible cracks, breaks, or burn marks on the coil element

- Burner sparks or pops when in use
