The GE Haliant Triple Element is a surface heating element used in GE electric ranges to provide three zones of heat in one unit, allowing you to use a small, medium, or large burner area depending on the size of your cookware. It works by passing electrical current through a resistive coil beneath a smooth glass-ceramic cooktop surface, converting electricity into radiant heat that transfers directly to the pot or pan above.
