GE Electric Bake Element (WB44T10007)

The GE Electric Bake Element is the lower heating element inside your electric range that provides the heat needed for baking and broiling from below. It connects to the oven's electrical supply and converts electrical energy into radiant heat, cycling on and off to maintain the temperature set on your oven controls.

A GE electric bake element can fail from normal wear over time, power surges, or physical damage from spills and drips that cause the element to crack or burn through. When the element fails, the oven loses its ability to heat evenly or at all, making it impossible to bake or roast properly.

Watch for these symptoms to help determine if the bake element needs to be replaced:

- Oven does not heat up when set to bake

- Visible cracks, blisters, or burn marks on the element surface

- Food takes much longer to cook than expected or bakes unevenly

- Element glows only partially or not at all during preheating
