GE Electric Range Bake Element (WB44T10031)

The GE Electric Range Bake Element is the heating component located at the bottom of your oven cavity that provides the primary heat source during baking cycles. It works by drawing electrical current through a resistive coil inside the element, which converts that electricity into radiant heat to bring the oven up to the set temperature. Without a functioning bake element, your GE electric range cannot maintain consistent heat for cooking or baking.

GE electric range bake elements commonly fail due to normal wear over time, exposure to high heat cycling, food spills that cause hot spots or corrosion, or physical damage from items contacting the element. When the element burns out or cracks, it can lose the ability to heat evenly or stop working entirely, leaving your oven unable to reach or hold the correct temperature.
