GE Hidden Bake Element (WB44X21667)

The GE Hidden Bake Element is the lower heating component in your electric range that provides heat for baking and broiling from beneath a concealed panel in the oven floor. Unlike exposed elements, this design sits out of sight under a smooth oven bottom, radiating heat evenly upward into the oven cavity for consistent cooking results.

A GE hidden bake element can fail due to normal wear over time, power surges, grease buildup causing hot spots, or internal breaks in the heating coil. Because the element is concealed, damage is not always visible, making it harder to diagnose without checking for uneven heating or loss of power to the lower heat source.

Watch for these symptoms to help determine if your hidden bake element needs to be replaced:

- Oven takes much longer than usual to reach the set temperature
