The GE Electric Range Bake Element is the lower heating component inside your oven that provides the heat needed for baking and roasting. It connects to the oven's electrical system and converts voltage into radiant heat, cycling on and off to maintain the temperature set on your control panel. Without a functioning bake element, your GE electric range cannot properly heat the oven cavity for cooking.
