GE Oven Rack Slide (WB48X21543)

The GE Oven Rack Slide is a glide assembly mounted inside the oven cavity that allows oven racks to slide in and out smoothly and stay level during use. It attaches to the interior oven walls and provides a stable track system so racks can be removed, repositioned, or extended without tipping or catching.

GE Oven Rack Slides can wear out over time from repeated use, exposure to high heat, grease buildup, or physical damage from heavy cookware being dragged across the tracks. When the slide assembly becomes bent, cracked, or coated with hardened residue, the rack may no longer glide freely or sit level inside the free-standing gas range.

Look for these symptoms to help determine if the rack slide needs to be replaced:

- Oven rack sticks, catches, or is difficult to slide in or out

- Rack tilts or tips when being pulled out or pushed in

- Visible cracks, bends, or broken sections on the slide rail

- Rack feels unsteady or wobbles during cooking
