GE Dishwasher Rinse Module (WD12X10163)

The GE Dishwasher Rinse Module is the assembly responsible for delivering rinse aid into the dishwasher during the final rinse cycle, helping to reduce water spots and improve drying on dishes and glassware. It holds a reservoir of rinse aid and releases a controlled amount at the right point in the cycle, working with the dispenser cap to keep the rinse agent sealed until needed.

The GE Dishwasher Rinse Module can fail when the internal dispensing mechanism wears out, the cap no longer seals properly, or mineral deposits from hard water clog the release opening. Cracking from age or heat exposure can also cause rinse aid to leak into the tub at the wrong time or prevent the module from dispensing at all.

Look for these symptoms to help determine if the rinse module needs to be replaced:

- Dishes and glassware come out with water spots or streaks after the cycle

- Rinse aid level drops quickly even though you haven't refilled it

- Rinse aid leaks into the dishwasher tub during the wash cycle

- The rinse aid indicator light stays on after filling the reservoir

- Dishes feel wet or take much longer to dry than normal

- Visible cracks or damage on the rinse module or cap assembly
