GE Dishwasher Water Valve (WD15X27703)

The GE Dishwasher Water Valve controls the flow of fresh water into the dishwasher during the fill portion of the wash cycle. It opens when the control sends power and closes when the correct fill level is reached. A working valve helps the dishwasher fill at the right time and with the right amount of water.

This valve can fail from mineral buildup, debris in the inlet screen, a worn internal seal, or a failed solenoid coil. It may stick closed and block water flow, or stick open and allow water to enter when it should not. Leaks can also develop at the valve body or fittings.

Use these symptoms to help decide whether this water valve matches your problem:

• Dishwasher does not fill with water, or fills very slowly
• Cycle starts but stops with a fill-related error or repeated drain attempts
• Humming or buzzing during fill, with little or no water entering
