The GE Dishwasher User Interface Board controls the buttons and touchpad functions on the dishwasher’s control panel. It reads your cycle and option selections, sends commands to the main control, and provides status feedback through lights or a display.

Failure can happen after moisture or steam reaches the control area, from corrosion on contacts, worn or damaged button circuits, or electrical surges. A loose or oxidized connection between the interface and the main control can also prevent inputs from registering.

Symptoms that can point to a problem with the user interface board include:

• Buttons or touch controls do not respond, respond intermittently, or require repeated presses
• The dishwasher will not start even though power is present and the door is closed
• Cycle selections change on their own or cannot be changed
