GE Dryer Control Knob (WE01X20380)

The GE Dryer Control Knob is the dial you turn to select drying cycles, temperature settings, or timer options on your dryer's control panel. It attaches directly to the control shaft and transmits your selection to the underlying switch or timer mechanism so the dryer operates with the settings you choose.

The GE Dryer Control Knob can wear out over time from repeated turning, pulling, or pushing, which can crack the inner hub or strip the D-shaped shaft fitting that locks it in place. Heat exposure near the control panel, accidental impact, or simply years of everyday use can also cause the knob to become loose, wobbly, or impossible to grip and turn properly.

If you notice any of these signs, your control knob may need to be replaced:

- Knob spins freely without engaging the cycle or timer setting

- Knob is cracked, chipped, or broken and difficult to grip

- Knob feels loose or wobbles on the shaft during use

- Dryer does not respond when you turn the knob to a new setting

- Knob has snapped off the control shaft entirely

- Setting indicators on the knob are worn away and unreadable
