GE Dryer Gas Valve & Burner (WE03X29452)

The GE Dryer Gas Valve & Burner controls the flow of gas and ignites it to produce the heat needed to dry your clothes. The valve opens and closes to regulate gas flow into the burner assembly, where it is ignited to generate warm air that circulates through the drum during each drying cycle.

A GE dryer gas valve and burner can fail due to worn valve coils, a cracked or clogged burner, corrosion, or debris buildup that prevents proper gas flow or ignition. When either component stops working correctly, the dryer may lose its ability to heat consistently or at all, leaving clothes damp at the end of a cycle.

These symptoms may indicate it is time to replace your gas valve and burner assembly:

- Dryer runs but produces no heat

- Dryer heats briefly then stops heating mid-cycle

- Clothes come out damp or take multiple cycles to dry

- Burner flame is weak, uneven, or does not ignite at all

- Burning smell or signs of scorching near the burner area

- Dryer takes much longer than normal to reach drying temperature

- Audible clicking or failed ignition attempts without the burner lighting
