The GE Dryer Timer Knob is the control dial that lets you set the drying cycle duration on your electric dryer. It attaches to the timer shaft and translates your manual input into the timer mechanism, allowing the dryer to run for the selected amount of time before shutting off automatically.
The GE Dryer Timer Knob can wear out over time from repeated daily use, causing the plastic to crack, strip, or break at the center insert where it grips the timer shaft. Exposure to heat, accidental impacts, or forcing a stuck knob can also damage the knob, leaving you unable to select or start a drying cycle.
These symptoms can help you decide if the timer knob is the source of your problem:
- Knob spins freely on the shaft without engaging the timer
- Knob is visibly cracked, chipped, or broken
- Dryer does not start when the knob is turned
- Knob feels loose or wobbles during use
- Cannot set or hold a specific drying time

- A 15% restocking fee applies to eligible returns.
