GE Washer Door (WH10X29537)

The GE Washer Door is the main access panel on the front of your washing machine that seals the drum during a wash cycle and keeps water contained inside the appliance. It latches securely into place when closed and works together with the door latch assembly to signal the washer that it is safe to begin filling and operating.

A GE washer door can become damaged from everyday wear, accidental impact, or stress on the hinges from repeated opening and closing over time. Cracks, warping, or a broken inner glass panel can prevent the door from sealing properly, which may cause leaks or stop the washer from starting at all.

Look for these symptoms to help determine if your washer door needs to be replaced:

- Visible cracks, chips, or breaks in the door panel or inner window

- Water leaking from the front of the washer during a cycle

- Door does not close or latch securely

- Washer will not start because the door is not recognized as closed

- Door handle is broken or detached, making it difficult to open or close
