GE Washer Pressure Switch (WH12X10530)

The GE Washer Pressure Switch monitors the water level inside the tub and signals the control board to stop filling once the correct level is reached. It works by sensing air pressure through a small hose connected to the tub, translating that pressure into an electrical signal that controls the inlet valve and other wash cycle functions.

A GE washer pressure switch can fail due to a clogged or cracked air hose, a stuck or worn internal diaphragm, or corrosion on the electrical contacts over time. When the switch stops reading water levels accurately, the washer may no longer fill or drain correctly, causing cycle problems that can affect the entire wash and dry sequence in a combo unit.

These symptoms may point to a faulty pressure switch in your washer dryer combo:

- Washer overfills with water beyond the normal level

- Washer will not fill with water at all or stops filling too soon

- Wash cycle does not advance or gets stuck mid-cycle

- Washer fills and drains repeatedly without completing a cycle

- Error codes related to water level or fill time appear on the display

- Machine runs but clothes come out soaking wet or insufficiently rinsed

- Washer starts the dry cycle before water has fully drained
