The GE Washing Machine Water Valve controls the flow of hot and cold water into the washer during each cycle, opening and closing on command from the control board to fill the tub with the right amount of water. This valve features a two-inlet, three-outlet design that allows the washer to manage multiple water paths, including the main wash, rinse, and dispenser flows, all from a single unit.

The GE Washing Machine Water Valve can fail over time due to mineral deposits from hard water, worn or cracked solenoid coils, or debris buildup that prevents the valve from opening or closing fully. Electrical faults in the solenoid or damage to the valve body from water pressure fluctuations can also cause it to stick open, stay closed, or leak at the connection points.
