GE Triple Water Valve (WH13X10037)

The GE Triple Water Valve controls the flow of water into your washing machine by opening and closing three separate inlet ports during the wash and rinse cycles. It works by using electrical solenoids that activate on command from the control board, allowing the correct amount of hot, cold, or mixed water to enter the tub at the right time.

A GE triple water valve can fail when the solenoid coils burn out, the internal screens become clogged with sediment, or the rubber diaphragms crack from age and water pressure. Low water pressure, hard water buildup, and normal wear over time are common causes that can prevent one or more ports from opening or closing properly.

Watch for these symptoms to help determine if the water valve needs to be replaced:

- Washer does not fill with water or fills very slowly

- Only cold or only hot water enters the tub regardless of the cycle setting

- Washer overfills or water continues to run when the machine is off

- Visible cracks, corrosion, or leaking around the valve body

- Washer stops mid-cycle due to insufficient water levels

- Humming sound from the valve area but little or no water flow

- Detergent or fabric softener dispenser does not flush out properly
