The GE User Interface Board is the control panel circuit board that receives input from the buttons and knobs on your washer and communicates your selections to the main control board to run the correct cycle. It manages the display, indicator lights, and all user-facing controls that let you start, stop, and customize wash cycles on your front-load washer.
A GE user interface board can fail due to power surges, moisture exposure, worn button contacts from regular use, or general electronic component fatigue over time. When the board degrades, it may no longer send accurate signals, causing the washer to behave erratically, ignore commands, or fail to start altogether.
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, the user interface board may need to be replaced:
- Buttons or knobs do not respond when pressed or turned
- Display screen is blank, flickering, or showing garbled text
- Washer does not start even though it has power
- Cycle selections are not recognized or the wrong cycle runs
- Indicator lights are missing, stuck on, or behaving randomly
- Washer stops mid-cycle without an obvious cause
- Error codes appear on the display that cannot be cleared

- Returns are accepted within 60 days if the part is unused, in original packaging, and over $15 in value.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to eligible returns.
- Shipping is non-refundable.
- Items returned without approval won’t be accepted.
