GE User Interface Board (WH22X34918)

The GE User Interface Board is the control panel circuit board that receives input from the washer's buttons and knobs and communicates your selected settings to the main control board to run the correct cycle. It powers the display, indicator lights, and touch or push controls that let you choose wash cycles, water temperature, spin speed, and other options on your front-load washer.

A GE user interface board can fail due to power surges, moisture exposure, worn contacts from repeated use, or general component fatigue over time. When the board begins to fail, it may stop registering button presses, display incorrect information, or prevent the washer from starting a cycle altogether.

You may need to replace this part if your washer shows any of these signs:

- Control panel buttons do not respond or require repeated pressing to register

- Display is blank, flickering, or showing garbled characters

- Indicator lights stay on, go out randomly, or fail to illuminate

- Washer will not start even though power is present

- Cycle selections reset on their own or cannot be changed

- Certain wash options or settings are no longer selectable

- Error codes appear on the display that point to a control panel fault
