The main control board is the brain of your washing machine, managing every function from water fill and temperature to wash cycles, spin speed, and drain timing. It receives input from sensors and user controls, then sends signals to the motor, valves, pump, and other components to carry out each step of the wash cycle. Without a properly working control board, the washer cannot coordinate these operations and will not run correctly.
Control boards can fail due to power surges, voltage fluctuations, moisture exposure, or simply wearing out over years of use. Burned components, cracked solder joints, or damaged relays on the board can cause partial or total loss of function, sometimes affecting only certain cycles or features while others continue to work.
If you are noticing any of these issues with your washer, a faulty control board may be the cause:
- Washer will not start or respond when you press any buttons
- Cycle stops mid-wash and will not continue or resume
- Display is blank, flickering, or showing error codes repeatedly
- Washer skips steps in the cycle such as fill, agitate, or spin
- Water temperature does not match the selected setting
- Washer runs continuously without advancing through the cycle
- Controls are unresponsive or behave randomly during operation

- Returns are accepted within 60 days if the part is unused, in original packaging, and over $15 in value.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to eligible returns.
- Shipping is non-refundable.
- Items returned without approval won’t be accepted.
