GE Washer Basket (WH45X26674)

The GE Washer Basket is the large drum inside your washing machine that holds your clothes during the wash and spin cycles. It rotates during the spin cycle to remove water from your laundry and holds the load in place while the agitator or impeller moves water through the clothes during washing.

A GE washer basket can become damaged from overloading, foreign objects left in pockets, rust and corrosion from prolonged moisture exposure, or cracks and chips from repeated impact over time. A damaged basket can snag and tear clothing, cause the machine to vibrate excessively, or prevent the washer from spinning and draining properly.

These symptoms may indicate your washer basket needs to be replaced:

- Clothes come out with snags, holes, or tears after washing

- Visible cracks, chips, or rust spots on the inside of the drum

- Loud banging or excessive vibration during the spin cycle

- Washer fails to spin or struggles to reach full spin speed

- Clothes are wetter than normal after the cycle ends

- Unusual scraping or grinding noise during agitation or spin

- Water leaks from inside the drum area during operation
