The GE Washing Machine Motor powers the drum and drives the wash and spin cycles by converting electrical energy into the mechanical rotation needed to move clothes through water. It is a 1/3 HP motor that connects to the drive system to control agitation speed and spin force throughout each cycle.

A GE washing machine motor can fail due to worn brushes, overheating from repeated heavy loads, water intrusion, or deterioration of internal windings over time.
