The Whirlpool Fridge Light Bulb provides interior light when the refrigerator door opens. It installs in the light socket behind the lens cover and turns on through the door switch to help you see shelves and drawers.
Failure can happen when the filament burns out from normal use. It can also fail from power surges, vibration, a loose connection in the socket, or heat buildup if the cover is cracked or missing.
These symptoms can help you decide if this part is the source of the problem:
- The refrigerator interior light does not turn on when the door opens.
- The light flickers, dims, or comes on only when the door is moved.
- The bulb is darkened, broken, or the filament appears damaged.
- The light works after tapping the bulb or tightening it, then fails again.

- A 15% restocking fee applies to eligible returns.
